Contentment

Today I'm going to post about contentment. This is something that we can learn in our life. Click "read more" to read about it and to see my OOTD :)

Do you ever feel not enough and always want to have or do something more (not sastified with what you get or have)? I've been there. I don't satisfied with what I have. I always want to have something new especially in fashion things. Actually not exactly I want something new though. For example, I just bought new clothes, then the day after tomorrow I see a cute clothes and I want to buy it again. It seems like it'll never have an ending. I always want to have something new more and more and don't satisfied with what I have. To be honest, since I've become a fashion blogger, I've became so lavish. I can spend 2 million just to buy fashion things (in Indonesian rupiah) in 1 month. My closet is almost full. My dad scolded me for being so lavish. He told me that he doesn't care about the money, but he's afraid that this lavishness become my habit. And I don't want to be lavish too but I feel like I can't hold the desire to shopping. Haha.

Then I found the key to be not lavish and feel enough with what I have. I need to be content with what I have, with all I am, and with everything that happens to me. When I feel content, I won't be so often thinking that I need to buy some stuffs because what I have is enough, even it's more than enough because the fact is, not all people can buy what I buy. How to be content? We need to be grateful with what we have. That's it. When we be grateful, I guess we will feel enough. Don't see that others have better things than us (compare ourselves with others) because it's the key to make ourselves become not satisfied with what we have (not feel enough). Comparison is a thief of happiness. If we keep comparing ourselves with others, we won't be satisfied with what we have because there are many people who have more than us (not only in buying things, but also in beautiness, achievement, etc). Mark my words: we don't always need to have new things, because we can mix and match our old clothes. I'm so grateful my dad scolded me about this at that time, so I realize that my behaviour isn't right. And now, I'm still learning to be content. It's not easy tho, but it's worth it. Sometimes I fail, but I'm willing to learn :))

  16. I love your skirt!
And a thing about avoiding lavish: you can be more creative with your fashion item. Mix and match all your stuff until you get a new outfit without buying something :)
Challenge yourself to not spend any money in fashion item for a month! XD
    Good luck xoxo
